AQFRESH™

AqFresh™ is a versatile new odour capture technology which has been incorporated into Hygiene Nonwovens used in diapers, pads, and medical dressings.  It's been proven to significantly reduce product odours and odours from use such as urine, faeces, sweat or menstrual fluids.

Our patented technology utilises Cucurbiturils – barrel-shaped molecules with a hollow hydrophobic cavity and polar portals enabling them to tightly bind a wide spectrum of unwanted molecules.

This unique technology has been applied to nonwoven materials through finishing treatments such as spraying & padding, through dry impregnation, and by compounding into fibres.

AqFresh™ removes a wide range of malodours, works in a wet or dry environment, and is non-toxic. It has a broad range of other nonwoven applications including automotive interior trim and air filters.

HYGIENE APPLICATIONS – DRY IMPREGNATION PROCESSES

AqFresh™ odour capture technology has been incorporated by dry impregnation into Hygiene Nonwovens used in diapers, pads, and medical dressings. 

In gas chromatography testing, AqFresh™ has been proven to reduce menstrual odours by 86% when added to a typical hygiene nonwoven by dry impregnation.

 

卫生相关应用 - 干法浸渍工艺

AqFresh™除味技术已经通过干法浸渍工艺被成功添加进用于制成纸尿裤、卫生巾和医用敷料等产品的无纺布中。

气相色谱法检验结果表明，通过干法浸渍工艺将 AqFresh™ 添加进无纺布后，此类无纺布可以将经血气味浓度降低86%。

 

 

HYGIENE APPLICATIONS – SPRAYING PROCESSES

AqFresh™ odour capture technology has been incorporated by spraying onto Hygiene Nonwovens used in diapers, pads, and medical dressings. 

When added to nonwovens by spraying, sensory panel tests clearly demonstrate a reduction of urine odour of 1.5 points, and in a home use test, 93% said adult incontinence pads with AqFresh were less smelly.

AqFresh™ odour capture technology has been incorporated into Hygiene Nonwovens used in diapers, pads, and medical dressings by compounding into fibres.

AqFresh™ has been proven to be effective when compounded into polypropylene fibres where it delivers outstanding odour capture even after being washed 5 times.
