Aqdot is taking a new platform chemistry technology ‘from bench to market’. A Chemtech company based in Cambridge, Aqdot has completed all relevant regulatory and environmental hurdles and is now accelerating production and commercialisation. The team have scaled up manufacturing to multi-ton scale and have established and built strong collaborations with 100+ multi-national companies who all have pain-points that this revolutionary chemistry can address. The Role – Technologist – Product Development
LOCATION: Cambridge, UK
REPORTING LINE: Project Leader
DURATION / CONTRACT: Full time.
Reporting to a Project Leader, the Technologist will have the following responsibilities:
1. Work in a cross functional team: Design, manage and conduct experiments, implement ideas, methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve the team’s objectives.
2. Develop Aqdot products from concept to scale-up. Develop scalable prototypes and demonstrate performance through material testing.
3. Working closely with the Commercial team to identify opportunities and translate customers’ needs into technical solutions and projects.
4. Support key customers to formulate and develop products, as well as validate product benefits and substantiate claims to speed up product launches.
5. Prepare research reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data; give presentations for both internal and external audience.
6. Identify IP opportunities and prepare patent documents.
7. Identify training opportunities and liaise with external consultants and contractors.
Job Vacancy: Technologist – Product Development
PROFILE:
Industry Experience
• Curious scientist driven by a passion to deliver innovative and sustainable product solutions.
• PhD in chemical, biological or analytical science with demonstrated scientific rigour, attention to detail and a hands-on ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Experience in household and personal care product development would be an advantage. Experience of analytical and sensorial odour assessment for claims substantiation would be a distinct advantage.
• Other relevant experience would also be considered.
• Must be interested in the formulation of products, for example automotive, hygiene or homecare products.
